MySQL DELETE Statement

Delete statement is used to delete all rows or particular rows from a table.

Syntax:

delete from table_name; #This deletes all rows from table. delete from table where condition; #Particular rows will deleted.

MySQL Update Statement

Examples: We are using above table for update statement.

1. Delete employees whose salary is below 1000.

mysql> delete from EMP where sal<1000; Query OK, 1 row affected (0.07 sec) 2. Delete all rows from a table.

mysql> delete from EMP; Query OK, 13 rows affected (0.06 sec)
